Prior to getting involved in the WSR biz, I had a combination bullseye/star break repaired on my windshield.

With what I have learned by practicing, doing and reading, I realize that the tech. drilled the damaged area and managed to properly fill the legs of the star, but the small bullseye must not have filled properly (more than likely due to too much ijector to WS pressure) and the end result is that I now have a "divot" in my WS.

Any suggestions as to how to fill-in this damage?

BTW - It does not go all the way through to the laminate.

How big is the "divot", did the bull collapse or ?.... If it just needs filled drill at the top of the unfilled area until you feel the bur pop thru to the cavity and inject as usual. There may be other methods of repair also as I too am fairly new to WSR. I have used this method with good results on situations similar to the damage you described,... I think . Scott

The "bull" just popped out. Only about a 1/4" in diameter, but I'm not sure if I need to really "rough up" the divot with the drill first. And then, should I use pit resin, repair resin, build and cure, fill all at once and cure, etc ....

This has happened to me before when a bullseye just popped out. For best clarity, I first used my dremel to clear out all the old resin and ruff it up for better adhesion, then I used new repair resin as a fill, cured it and then finished it off with pit resin and cured it again and polish. Not sure if this is how others would handle this but I was happy with the results.

Actually had one of these to deal with last saturday while servicing a trucking account. I had experienced one of those WSR demon days, just after I wrote down the vehicle mileage for a truck and it was 277666.9. Not being superstitous I wrote down 277666.....and that's when all hell broke loose. As I was filling a bullseye I heard a loud pop from my car which was running. Needless to say my water pump hose burst and it went up in steam. So I jumped off this truck in the middle of repair and went to shut it off. Upon returning to my repair I then noticed this simple little bullseye repair turned into a beast. Glass popped out. That's never happened to me before. Oh well, we all have our days. Could've been worse....like being stranded in some getto part of Detroit and being held up by a group of teens. Yeah, that's part of doing business in this lovely city.
