I am looking to buy a canopy that is covered on obviously the top and 3 sides. I would like something a car and small truck could get at least front half of vehicle in. I have some sites I know I could use to set up a canopy and I'm only looking to do it for 1 or 2 days a week. The rest of the time I go to the customer or fleet account. I need it to be closed on 3 sides to perform headlight restoration and keep off UV light and also for long crack repairs. Any suggestions on a good style canopy that one person could set up? Also, maybe something that can be customized although that's not a huge issue since I'll have signage out there. I have already checked with city and they will allow this. Thanks

Also, not wanting to start a debate about windshield repair guys setting up tents. I will not be harassing customers and my name is out there good enough finally to stay busy. Something to add to my advertising and get some folks all in one location. Also like the idea of wife and I hanging out in one spot to get away from the kids every now and then, haha. She would be more comfortable sitting in a nice chair with drinks and food, by a canopy or shade tree than riding around in my truck all day.

I think that is a great idea, keep using a UV shield when you work under one though as indirect UV will certainly get in.

I've used a 10X10 (knock off) easy up tent, but I've not seen them sides. I am sure there is a company that makes them out there somewhere. A tent, even without sides, will provide you shade to cool your windshields and you. If you live in a windy city you will have to anchor it down. I've used 25lb weights or 5 gallon Home Depot buckets with sand or water in to increase the weight of the bucket. I have never had a issue setting one up or breaking it down, other than it is slower with one person than with two.

I've often thought about a tent. I opted for a custom feather flag from displays2go.com to draw attention. In my neighborhood, the wind can pick up without any warning. I'm worried about a tent wrecking a paint job. I've been at roadside bbq stands when the wind picked up and wrecked all kinds of stuff. And it was anchored down really well...
