Hello everyone!
In my quest for additional product line I am wondering does anyone offer rearview mirror re-attachment?
I have lately received a flurry of calls asking if I can fix fallen mirrors.
Do they still use adhesive or are these fancy onstar/rearview camera/ autodim mirrors attached in some other way.
Is it a can of worms to stay away from?

I used to glue on 2-3 every week, sometimes more. I charged $5.00 and it took about 5 minutes including invoicing. Almost always cash. Some of the glass shops in town were doing it for free but theirs came off and mine didn't so I got a lot of business from people who went somewhere else 1st and then came to me. Kind of like the people who go to Wal-mart to have their headlights polished and then end up coming to us to have it done again a month later.
The brackets used to almost always be metal but many of the newer ones are plastic.

Used to buy a kit from the glass suppliers which consisted of glue
and primer and i used to charge $10.The kit cost about $30
Really easy to use . Clean off old glue with a razor , mark spot on outside of windshield
spray button with primer and windshield .Let dry for a few mins add two or three drops
of glue to the mirror attach mirror to windshield , hold in place 30 seconds and done.
You can do this with mirror and button together so you dont glue button upside down or backwards
