Windshield Damaged Inputs Needed

Hello Everyone, this is my first post in this forum, hope you could help me. I ran into some problem with my windshield, had some.. I'm even sure what to call them, small craters maybe? I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. If anyone could help me understand what they are and how it can be fixed, i'd appreciate it.

Thank you.

I'll assume you're talking about the tiny white specs! Have you tried scraping them off with a razor blade? If that doesn't work than they are just little pits on the surface of the windshield. Nothing you can do.

Is that a new glass? Is there any chance it has had anything applied to it.

It is. But it wasn't like that when i first got it. It gradually showed up on the windshield.

Yeah, they're little pits. Just thought there could be some other way, after all this is my second windshield. I'm not too excited for my third yet.

Thanks for replying. :D

Oh and sorry it's not the white specks that i'm referring to,i didnt even notice them till you mentioned them. It's where the light splits off in the image, in between you should notice some craters. This was zoomed in from a camera, barely noticeble by the eye and you'll have to get the right angle to see it from the outside. Inside the vehicle, it'll appear like everything is hazy/ distorted.

it was the craters that I was looking at. I will have to check a new glass, must admit I have never looked that close despite the fact I often use a magnifying glass. I would take it straight back if it was giving you any sight problems.

It's really hard to see them, it'll have to be from a certain angle. The blurriness/haziness was initially thought to be caused by tints, but then after removing the tints, the same haziness stayed. Kept polising a portion inside and outside to see which side it's on. Luckily, someone decided to try and take a picture of the glass and zoom in.

What do you mean by "removing the tints"?

the windshield from inside appears like it had old tints, blurry/faded appearance. It's why before polishing the glass itself, we removed the tints first thinking that was the cause.

I am confused here, new windshield but with tints, do you mean tinting film?
