I am in the process of developming a wsr business plan. I had the good fortune of attending the Car Wash Association convention helld in Las Vegas Nevada a week and a half ago. I was able to meet with some of the WSR companies i.e. Delta, Glass Technology and Glass Mechanics. I chose to partner with Delta and placed an order at the show for my first double bridge and entreprenuer (sp?) kit. I picked up a practice windshield this weekend and am busy practicing :!:

I am at the point now of idetiifying how to get started. I am working full time and need to transistion to full time in wsr. (Income and all). I have every other Friday off and all weekends.

After reading many posts ( I have been online for the past 4weeks or so) my thoughts are to use my Fridays to develop business by going door to door calling on business complexes etc. as has been suggested. I do not think that would work on Saturday and Sunday however most of those types of business being closed and alll.

In order to utilize my weekends my thought was to put up a "retail" type canope at a high trafific site i.e. shopping center, car wash etc. Utilize visible signs "Free WSR" etc with the hope of developing some llevel of business and thereby utilize my Saturday's and Sunday's. With limited hours/days to start with I need to fully utilize my time.

I totally endorse the method that David Coister and many others of you have developed and will script my presentations accordingly ( why reinvent the wheel).

At this point any feedback regarding my approach would most certainly be appreciated. I am committed to this business and want to advance to full time ASAP. :P

Thank you all :!:

Welcome, and good luck ACT 1 :) I currently do the canopy set up on weekends (weather permitting) I have found it to be a very good way to get exposure and work!! I recomend you look at Opti-kleers pics if you have not got a canopy yet. I bought one from costco and it is a good deal(about 200. bucks). After seeing the folks that ordered colored tops and custom graphics I was way jealous!!! :P I and my wife lettered my current top with some of my flexable dies for the time being. Looks are very important. I hope you have been practicing too!! Your bound to get a few stubborn repairs on the weekend when support is tough to come by. The up side is free air time (at least on the plan I use) :D Any way let us know how you do and I would be happy to help if I can, just PM me if you have any questions that aren't getting answered here. Scott :~)
