I have had a number of customers that have only small pits to be repaired. I am still not getting a good results with most of the pit repairs. I am attempting to clean and dry the area and will apply one or two drops of pit filler resin followed by a piece of UV film. I will then cure the area with either my UV lamp or by sun light if outside. I will then gently scrap the area with a new razor blade and polish the area with the pit polish, but I am still not getting a nice shinny surface like I would like to get. Any suggestions. Thanks.

I used to have that same problem, started using the terry cloth shop towels from sams, ect and now they shine up real nice. Have even used some old socks turned inside out, best to wash them first so you dont grow some fungus in your fingers.

Found it in an old post and it works like you wouldn't believe! Go to a furniture store and get a sample of soft leather. use that to polish your pits. It's simply amazing. The more you use it the better it gets!

Never thought of that one AutoEgo. I'll hit up the furniture store next time or pick up some road kill and skin it.

Better yet, why not cut up that outdated (circa 1980) Leather Members Only jacket that is hanging in the closet next to your old leisure suit;)
