Is there a list of Insurance companies that do not pay for wr? Kind of aggrevated here! I've tried to do 3 repairs for FREE with full coverage insurance. 2 repairs for Farmers Ins. and 1 repair for Oklahoma Farmers Union. After all said and done, they did not pay because customers deductable was not $150 or less but it was full coverage. I was wondering how the rest of you deal with this and is this is very common.
Thanks

This is the last list we have had from A.C.T.

Unfortunately, it does not list either of the ones you mentioned.

Did you get preauthorization for these? If so, did you go through A.C.T., Safelite, or Lynx?

Thanks for the info.
I did get pre-authorization through ACT on the first 2 with Farmers but at the time of authorization it was real late and ACT told me to go ahead with the repairs, there probably would be no problem and ACT told me the next morning the customer had to have a deductable of 150 or less before they would waive and pay. 3rd deal was with Oklahoma Farmers Union and this claim was denied in the beginning for the same reason - had to have deductable of 150 or less. All 3 customers had deductables of 500. All 3 jobs were done for free anyways.
Thanks

Probably the easiest way to handle this and still get paid is to have the customer sign some thing stating that they will be liable for any part of your fee which is not covered by the insurance company. It can be something simple (The undersigned does agree that they are responsible for any part of this fee that is not covered through third party billing.). Body shops and Doctors (businesses that recieve their fees primarily from insurance companies) always have you sign such a statement. I print them out on a sheet of Avery stickers and when I do an insurance job I attach one to all three copies and get the customer's signature below it.
