Chipio and other companies like them need to be exposed for what they really are. SCAMMERS

I'd rather not say who the company was but I can say it wasn't Autoglass

I understand how passionate some of you are about this issue, and rightly so, but please be respectful of forum guidelines. This is not the place to slam your competitors as it is too easy to throw out unsubstantiated accusations. I suggest that if if you have proof of insurance fraud you turn it into the insurance company and/or network that is paying for the repairs. I would think they would be quite interested in any legitimate evidence you may have.

You may also consider alerting the local or national media if you have proof that a company is committing insurance fraud or scamming their customers. Lots of viewers tune in to watch expose's so the media may be very interested in any sort of widespread fraudulent practices. Everyone loves a good sting operation!

Again, I understand your passion and I am with you 100% when it comes to eliminating fraudulent business practices in the windshield repair industry. Feel free to discuss the business practices you are concerned with, but please refrain from naming specific companies.

Thank you for your cooperation.

I checked on the web to see if the US has a investigating agency like the ABI in the UK and found the NICB ( National Insurance Crime Bureau ). Ripping off insurance companies and their customers is no good for any of us, so if you have good evidence of fraud, give them a bell.

I have filed a complaint with my state insurance commissioner.of what I observed. only wish I'd done some video. These people could easily be caught with a little covert work .
Sorry Brent ! I will refrain.

Unfortunately, ********************* is already in bed with the NICB. The are contracted to investigate these fraudulent activities. And guess where all the work is going?

I don't mind that my last post was edited but truth be told this has already been exposed in glassbytes over two months ago.

Sunshine, I don't blame you for for being inflamed when you see something happening in this industry that doesn't seem right. Some of these companies collect more in one day (fraudulently) than you or me perform (legitimately) in one month!

I did as your doing with contacting insurance, the state and TPA's but it still took 3 years to change anything. The company I targeted then only has one operation in my state (out of the 12 they were running) but they just moved and set up camp in 4 other states and still expanding....

I went one further than what Brent listed. I actually applied for a novice position with this company and found out first hand what they were all about. Not about quality repairs for anybody...just money they can bilk off insurance claims.

Maybe MADD can do free engine safety inspections and do a courtesy free dipstick inspection ,but, of course the oil will need to be changed.
