2010 Jeep Compass Hatch Window Installation

Has anyone ever reinstalled the rear hatch glass on their 2010 Jeep Compass? Do I just need to remove the old strip, clean it, prime it, put down new strip and slap the window in place or am I missing anything? Should the manufacture have the new strip come preinstalled on the glass? I just can't find any information about Jeep Compass or Patriot rear glass installation.

This is a DB11189. Its a "Y" part only for the rubber wiper grommet. There are no moldings used on this b/g, so nothing would be pre applied to the glass by the mfg. Same set up for the Patriot.
