Hey guys I am new at this! I have been faxing in my invoices to lynx and getting charged $7.50 per invoice. SGC has an online billing for there website that doesn't cost me anything to use. What do you guys recommend for billing lynx, to avoid the $7.50 charge? Any insight is greatly appreciated :eusa_thin
thanks Jon

Re: Lynx billing
Welcome to the forum Jon!
Most people, once they've signed up with Lynx, will sign up with a third party biller such as GlassComp or DataTranz. What they will do is convert your faxed invoice to EDI format, and only charge you between $2.00 and $2.25 per invoice. So, essentially the only difference between that and what you're doing now is the fax number you're sending your invoice to, and making one payment at the end of the month for processing fees.
Many people on this forum have had great success with GlassComp (http://www.glasscomp.com) and DataTranz (http://www.datatranz.com).

Thanks for the info Jeff.
I have e-mailed both sites for additional information.
Do some of you have experiences with these two? Which one would you recommend?
Thanks
Layne

Re: Lynx billing
Believe it or not, I haven't heard a single bad thing about either of them.
I have spoken with Bob @ GlassComp a few times, seems like a great guy, very helpful. I have not spoken with DataTranz, but we have many customers who use them and like them.
I would recommend calling both, picking their brains, and deciding which has better service for you. The difference is only $0.25 per invoice, so great customer service would probably be a deciding factor.

The last post was from 2004, but yes, you need to sign up with Lynx and then if you choose to submit your invoices through EDI you will need to sign up with a company to do this for you.
