Marketing Training Curriculum - Orlando
Marketing Training Curriculum - Orlando
I have been working for a month (off and on) now restructuring the Marketing portion of this fine boot camp training session. I am very excited about what has come out of it. I think you will be as well. I have added a little workbook that will go along with the seminar. I also have taken out some of the fluff and it seems the real essence of what it takes to sell this product is much clearer now. I am actually working on the workbook as I type now. I wanted to take a quick break and let you all know how much I think you will enjoy and profit from not only having the training certification from one of the most respected windshield repair companies anywhere (and NO I do not work for Delta Kits and I get paid nothing to say this) but also from learning how to get those sales that keep slipping through your fingers. Let me give you a quick outline of what we will be talking about:
The title is "15 steps to success in Windshield Repair" (tentative title it may end up being 17 or 18 steps depending how I split the grouping up but you get the picture)
1. Tent Locations (where to look)
1b. Tents 1b(How to get a location)
2. Fleet location (What kind of companies do I look for?)
3. Fleets (WHo do I talk to at these companies)
4. Basics of a sale
5. Developing our sales energy/enthusiasm
6. Approaching the customer (tent style 1)
7. Approaching the customer (tent style 2)
8. Approaching the customer (fleets)
9. Prehandling objections
10. Prepping for paperwork and shadow of the crack illustration
11. Overcoming objections
12. Closing the sale (tents)
13. Closing the sale (fleets)
14. Advertising materials
That is the basic outline and each of those topics is discussed in an easy to use, concise fashion with not only a "how to" approach but more importantly a "why do" approach. I feel if you know why we do something the way we do it then you can take that principle and use it in your own words .... or adapt it to your environment or culture. There isn't a person out there no matter how long they have been doing rock chips that will not come away with something they may not have thought of and can use in a profitable manner in their business. I say that not because I am a genius or that I have some sort of corner on the market of windshield repair sales, but only because I have studied this material and literally thousands of sales related audio books and seminars and I have trained many hundreds of people to do exactly what we will be discussing in our training session. I always feel an open ear to anyone is the best way to learn.
I really hope to see as many of you there as possible and I guarantee you will come out of this conference a better rock chip repair guy and also a more profitable business operator. If you are unable to make it to the Florida session and you would like to talk with us about independent training at your location please feel free to contact me at 503-750-4567 (my cell phone number). We have lots of training programs that I can't take the time now to spell out but would be happy to talk with you for a while on the phone.
P.S.... for those of you who do not know I am an independent windshield repair company owner out of Portland Oregon. I have done tents successfully in most every situation (except squatting), we have a thriving fleet business and we have worked extensively in business sharing ventures like having our employees in Jiffy Lubes and so forth. I do not work with or for Delta Kits in any fashion except that they asked me to do the marketing portion of their training. I have been specifically doing training for outside companies for about 2 years now and have trained probably 100 or so different stores and 600 or so individuals. That doesn't make me an expert but it does mean that you can hopefully glean a thing or 2 from some of my experiences. Hope to see you there!!

Re: Marketing Training Curriculum - Orlando
For those who can not attend the training, will the workbook be available for a fee?
Re: Marketing Training Curriculum - Orlando
The word workbook may be a bit of a misnomer as it is more of a seminar notes workpage. So each section will have a page that has key sentences with key words left out and spots for notes and such. it isn't a stand alone item, although once filled out from the seminar it is very handy for review of the materials gone over in person.
We will be putting some videos together sometime after the seminar though. The videos will be a 3 video set or purchased independently. One video on fleets, one on tent locations and one on sales objections/sales tips in general. We have a good portion of the scripting done for those right now. Hopefully those will have some of the info you are looking for.

Re: Marketing Training Curriculum - Orlando
As of now there is still a small amount of time left to sign up. It is going to be a good one. We just finished the video on creating a profitable TENT business. We are still working on making the fleet account video and will probably have that one ready for the next training session in maybe March. There is no schedule for that one yet but it may happen in March.
The video is being edit and made into DVD and VCD as we speak. So anyone interested can contact Jeff at Delta Kits about an arrival date.

A quick hello to anyone attending the training at Orlando next weekend. Myself and seven other Brit WSR techs are coming over to Orlando for a long weekend of training, drinking and debauchery. We are all set for one hell of a weekend. See you there.

Eric, Ive been planning on coming to Orlando all year, I was hoping to meet up with you, some of my exbrit-countrymen, and meet some of the other techs here on the forum, unfortunately those plans have changed... I know I will be missing out on a great and informative time.

We have to set up our training room Saturday night, but we're going to try to do it beforehand.
Looks like consensus is meeting at 8pm in the main lobby of the hotel.
From there, we can go somewhere else, but it's an easy place for everyone to meet.
I look forward to seeing everyone there!
