I am looking for your opinion (especially WSR VETRANS) on the two invoices that I designed for my new business. SD does not have vehicle inspections, so I have not included that in my warranty.
Please post anything that you think should be changed or added to the invoices. I would like everyone's opinion before I invest a bunch of money to have them printed on 3-part carbonless paper (NCR).
Links Require Adobe Acrobat Reader (most everyone should already have that on their computer).

Fleet & Retail Invoice Design
Re: Fleet & Retail Invoice Design
Joe,
I liked multiple windshield diagrams on your fleet invoice. I have been using the same invoice for fleet and retail and have an alpha-numeric code to note the location of the fleet repairs on the individual vehicles.
Here's a source of pre-coallated NCR paper that allows you to print your own forms. This saves me about 75% over paying a local copy place to do it. You could take them somewhere and have them glued together, but I just put them in my clipboard one set at at time and write away.
You can check out the paper at:

Re: Fleet & Retail Invoice Design
I like the idea of printing on the ncr paper at home...
What I have been doing is having 2 part invoices printed at Kinkos. They cost $.10 ea for half sheet size invoices. (.20 full sheet price) printed and glued. So 500 invoice would cost $50.
Do-it-yourself with the paper in the link at $20 would cost about $25 for the same amount cut and glued, plus your ink/toner cost. If you have a laser printer that would be a nice option.
Try a small run at Kinkos... 100 sets of two part is only $12 with tax etc. If you print out a "master copy" sheet with both invoices on it then you will get samples of both in one shot.

Re: Fleet & Retail Invoice Design
Great idea.... and thanks for the link.
I was actually consideing purchasing the NCR paper and printing my own invoices (I do have a color laser printer). However, my concern was with the chemicals.... I read somewhere that the heat created while laser printing NCR paper emits some serious toxins. I'm not sure I want to be breathing that stuff. Although, I do suppose I could wait for a nice day and keep my windows open & the door shut with a fan in the window while printing.
I think I might do that.
