Re: Resin Reaction
Souchie , I do the same as GWT but I use my probe to take the end seal out , then I take the seal off the probe with a paper towel (the thick blue shop type) and twist it between my thumb and fore finger to get the resin off , with the injector I twist the remaining resin to the top with a flip of the wrist sling it out and wipe with paper towel. hope this helps

Re: Resin Reaction
Here in vermont we have a old rem its called Bag Balm it comes in a green square can and can be found in some pharmacys world wide and yes its made for cow bags when they get chapped or cracked. Every mom has a can we moved to San Francisco when i was small and we even had a can there. Weird stuff but every smelly dairy farmer will tell you it works wonders
Re: Resin Reaction
I used to work at a convenience store and I cleaned everything several times a day. I noticed my hands doing the same thing. I finally determined that it was the sprayway cleaner that we used that was causing this. There is no better glass cleaner in my opinion but it is very harsh on the hands. Maybe your exposer to cleaner at work and at home is causing this.

Re: Resin Reaction
Personaly I used to do all my repairs without gloves and about a year ago my skin started breaking out. I can only figure that my body has reached it's toxisity point. (Or however thats spelled) Anyway, I wear gloves all the time now, I look like a surgon and its kind funny but guess what, no more rashes on my skin.

Re: Resin Reaction
I had the exact same problem 6 months ago. I now use nitrite gloves (I double glove) and when finished with the repair keep the gloves on while cleaning my equipment. The alcahol or acetone I use for cleaning will drive the resin into your pours and make the reaction worse. I then wash my hands with soap and cold water befor removing gloves, then again wash my hands after removing the gloves. I havn't had any problems since. It also takes awhile for the resin to work its way out of your pours, about 4 to 5 weeks. It sounds like alot of work but the alternative is worse!
Re: Resin Reaction
Hi,I'am back again with the same problem. But not as bad as before.Does anyone you an Acid Free resin that works?Gt is not acid free and neither is magniBond. I wear 8mil nitrile gloves and I'am now trying duct tape to cover my thumb under the gloves .Another use for duct tape.

Re: Resin Reaction
try wsr warehouse's address against those of the manufacturers in the post above and you'll probably see a similarity. If one didn't do it for you the other probably won't either. Try using one of the barrier lotions, they work very well.
