Brian;

I have popped onto this forum from time to time and we have all seen you as a major promoter of Delta kits. I happened to go to the glassresin.com site and saw that they are boosting your company "Safe Glasss Technologies" and your company logo all over their main pages. Have you switched vendors? By looking at their site, one would make the conclusion that you have dumped Delta Kits Product and are using glassresin.com. How do you like the glassresin.com product?

Crackmaster,

Slow down, I don't know what you are talking about and I would think you don't have your facts straight my friend.

For your information, when someone asks for feedback I tell them what I use. Yes it is a DELTA KIT and I get no special treatment that they would not give you or anyone else, see for yourself. I have no intentions of switching suppliers. If responding to a post constitutes promoting a particular product then so be it. I would like to think I am pretty helpful around here so what gives. I have no ties to any company except mine, SAFE GLASS TECHNOLOGIES.

I will tell you if you have not figured it out yet by my umpteen posts, that I am committed to promoting the betterment of the WSR industry for us all.

Pay it foward,

Crackmaster,

I just visited the glass resin site. I see that they have put my site in there top sites section. They are promoting my site and give my link on there own free will. I was unaware of this until your post. I will most certainly say thank you to the folks at glassresin as this is a really nice gesture. This does not mean I am switching vendors. Once again I firmly believe in the products I use from DELTA KITS and there is really nothing more to it.

Brian, I must agree with Crackmaster on this one. Anyone, that has not seen your post stating that you are a Delta Kits user, would be led to believe that you endorse GlassResin. Any unspecting "newbie" researching the net would say to themelves. "Well SafeGlass Technology" is a "certified" windshield repair company and they are listed on "GlassResin's" page, so it must be good stuff.
Whether, you gave them permission or not to use your link, makes you in laymans terms "guilty by association". And while the exposure may be free, is that what you want? Its very misleading to the public. And the fact that they used your link without asking is just not right.

Glassdoc and all who are concerned,

Yes, I will agree, technically they should have asked permission to use my link. Has my link been used in a manner that is misleading? Well, I really don't believe so. All anyone has to do is read the heading. It makes a reference to "Top Sites". There are no claims that I endorse or even use there products. Infact, I feel that they are endorsing my site as a good informational resource for all to use and that's OK with me if it helps you or anyone else out.

Just for the record, I am not financially linked to DELTA KITS or GLASSRESIN in any profitable way. I am linked to DELTA KITS financially(I pay them) by use of there tooling and resins on a friendly customer basis.

I see that it is very easy for people to throw knives around here and jump to conclusions all to quickly. I think we all need to remember that this is a DELTA KITS forum so when someone asks for feedback/opinion, the majority of the time it will come from a DELTA KITS user including me. That does not mean it is the most correct choice for someone else. I will say it again, we all are entitled to our opinions and I always try to preserve those opinions with dignity and respect. I will also ask questions that might make someone dig deeper than what is in front of there face and this is might produce an answer that we all can benefit from.

I don't know, maybe my concept of helping other people is offbase and pointless, but just maybe someone will benefit from it and that makes it all worthwhile.

Pay it foward,

Brian, I was not throwing knives. Merely making a point. If lets say Safelite put my business name on their repair site (in my local area, Philly burbs)> People may think that I was employed by Safelite and did the same type of repairs they do. I would not be happy with that, any way shape or form. I do quality repairs and kringe every time I see an attempted Safelite repair job. I think they pour resin on top of the shot with hopes of it seeping in. With that being said, its exposure for your website. All well and good. And I hope it makes you lots of money as well as new friends. But with the "rash" of complaints against Glassresin lately, I would not want a working link with my business name on it. I think too many people associate, names as referrals or promoters. Thats my feelings, no knives here.. Not even a butter knife.

Glassdoc,

I was not implying that you specifically were throwing knives. It was just a general statement that could apply to anyone. As you know there are people that do this first without all the facts.

Glassdoc, your point is a valid one. If Safe Glass Technologies was a nationally known supplier of a product or nationwide corporate entity I would be concerned about the possible negative repercussions of such an association. I am just a pimple on the face of corporate America though....For Right Now. At my local level I do not feel that this link to my website will affect my market position including new and old clients as they would not have a reason to know or care about the internal issues at GLASSRESIN.

Hey, I see we are just about neighbors. Where exactly are you from. You can e-mail me with that info if you don't want to post it.

Brian;

Are you that dense? The only reason that they posted your site on theirs was so that you would feel all impressed and would not cause trouble for them. Your link there looks like an endorsement for their product. It is better than a testimonial.

I am not throwing knives..... Just stating the obvious to you. To each his own!
