NAGS adjustment!
NAGS adjustment!
I've already told everybody a week ago to be prepared for more insurance work! The insurance companies are in a panic with this new Nags pricing structure. So, they've been raising repair payouts by $5-$10.
Any of you guys listening out there to what I'm telling ya? It's time to jump on this opportunity!!!

Re: NAGS adjustment!
How exactly are the new prices going to affect the Insurance companies. After looking at the prices I would think that they would actually save money seeing as how they were cut by about 60%. A shop has to charge a moderate markup on the glass and bill labor out at the stated rate. I am new to the glass industry and I am not that familiar with it. Please explain more. Thank You
Re: NAGS adjustment!
I have been getting those messages too. But I do note that Allstate seems to be girding up for the battle. I somehow get the feeling that they are attempting to create a price war on the amount that they intend to pay with this so called "customized offers". There is an inference that they will lead their customers to the top 3 on their preferred list. Coupled with the customized offers, it smacks of "steering".
Re: NAGS adjustment!
I laughed when I got my request for "customized offers" from Allstate. They were basically saying that we will pay you $50. for a repair -but hinting that if you were willing to volunteer to work cheaper..... that "maybe" that may somehow make your "bid" more competitive and that "might" possibly give you an edge over your competition. I considered entering a bid of $10 per chip and every time they called telling them that at this price I was just too darned busy to take care of their customer. What a joke..lol
Re: NAGS adjustment!
I like that idea. Maybe if we all submitted that $10 bid and declined to do the repair when called (way too busy with other calls) then that ploy would self implode!
Re: NAGS adjustment!
The danger of this is that less experienced or inferior techs will take this bait and tarnish the already fragile reputation of wsr among the general public.

I agree, we've been getting the new prices. My fax machine has been busy. They'll pay up to $75.00/15.00/15.00
In many instances, that's more profit than a replacement!

Re: NAGS adjustment!
This is the reason I got out of the replacement biz and went full time in the repair biz years ago. I knew that sooner or later it would be better to do repairs then replacement, money wize that is.

I have'nt seen the $75/15/15 prices yet. Who were those prices from?
I've received some from SGC, but there has been no increase in those prices.
