Problem Receiving Lynx Faxes
Problem Receiving Lynx Faxes
Has anyone else experienced difficulties receiving faxed work orders from Lynx? I am able to receive faxes from anyone else but them. I know they use a PC based fax system. Maybe that is the problem??? Any help on this would be appreciated.
Re: Problem Receiving Lynx Faxes
I had the same problem
I have my fax machine tied into my home number (seperate from my business number) and set up to let the answering machine pick up first. If a fax tone sounds, the fax machine will grab the call. This system works fine with safelite and individual insurance companies, but NOT with Lynx.
Fortunately, you can get an Efax number free. My Lynx faxes go to Efax, everything else goes to my home phone. A free Efax number won't be a local number, but Lynx (unlike safelite) doesn't care, and you can retrieve your faxes via email. I haven't missed a fax, since I started using this system.

I have that same problem too. The Lynx faxes only come through if my answering machine is off. Efax sounds like a good solution.

Have you tried to go to lynxservices.com and have them re-faxed?Assuming you are registered at lynxservices.com If you have the dispatch number you can just click and have it re-faxed.

Re: Problem Receiving Lynx Faxes
That's what I do for dispatch faxes, just have it re-faxed from their website (with my answering machine off.) Then the only thing I can't receive is when they send some kind of update or notice--those usually come in during the night, so if I've left my answering machine on and I see on the caller ID it's from Lynx, I'll just turn my machine off until it comes through. Seems to work out ok for now. How much is efax?

Thanks Chip Gone. What do I have to do to change my fax number with Lynx? Just call them and let them know? or do I have to re-submit my application?
Re: Problem Receiving Lynx Faxes
Also, I just read the agreement for E-fax and it looked to me that you can receive up to 200 faxes per month and then you may have to pay. Is this accurate? Have you had any trouble with this?0hunter wrote:Thanks Chip Gone. What do I have to do to change my fax number with Lynx? Just call them and let them know? or do I have to re-submit my application?
