True Direct Billing
Re: True Direct Billing
Does anyone use the web billing on the Safelite website or is that for replacement shops only?

Re: True Direct Billing
Greetings Ohunter,
We usually get a refferal # faxed to us via Safelite, after, we have had the infamous 3-way phone conversation reagrding the insureds coverage. They now have a website you can register on and invoice them directly from there.(http://www.sgcnetwork.com) The've made some improvements as compared to times past. They pay their bills a little fasterthan before, usually 35 days. But you need to have a refferal number & the VIN# if you want to get paid. I was hoping the glass netwoeks would go the way of the dinosaurm but for now I guess they are here to stay. For those of you who direct bill the insurance companies. Do you get a dispatch or claim number from them first or do you just verify coverage and then just fax your invoice.?

Re: True Direct Billing
Oh how I miss those days of true direct billing as you have mentioned. I'm surprised that you can still do that. Few, if any, insurance companies, have not signed on with a glass network. We used to do that 99% of the time up here in Vermont years ago. Then the glass networks moved in and, the rest, is history. It was alot easier and much more funmafsu wrote:verify coverage, then mail invoice to the local agent. usually paid within 7-10 days.
