What Are Your Monthly Expenses?
Jeff,
I'd like to ask another poll question and you can do your magic with the format.
This would go to us that have been in this business for at least 1 year.
What are your average monthly expenses and how many techs do you employ?
$0-100 Number of techs
$100-300 "
$300-500 "
$500-700 "
$700-900 "
$900-1100+ "
My average expenses are $700-900 per month with no employees.

Re: Monthly expenses
Dave,
I can only add one poll to a thread, so everyone can vote above, but put how many technicians you employ in posts below.

I have no employees
Re: What Are Your Monthly Expenses?
I have none either. As a part time wsr, expenses would include insurance, telephone, fax machine, repair supplies, Toyota Truck and computer. Probably approaching $300.00.
Re: What Are Your Monthly Expenses?
I have no employees. My monthly expenses are low. between 300-500. much closser to the 300 mark most months. good poll! Thanks Chris...CWREPAIR
Re: What Are Your Monthly Expenses?
My expenses relating to windshield repair are about $700 per month, this includes $120 for insurance, $200 for advertising, $80 for resins and supplies, and $2-400 for gas. I don't include meals in my expenses, and yes my advertising may seem a little high, but the returns make it worthwhile.
Merci

Re: What Are Your Monthly Expenses?
Right now there are only 3 of us in the company, usually more during the spring/summer months but not in winter. My expenses are immense, with EDI charges, insurance, payroll, cable modem at the office (my brothers house right now), debt due to poor choices in building my business (trying to get into Jiffy Lubes), unpaid back taxes due to investors backing out of Jify Lube deal, 3 car payments for work, phone lines and probably 100 other things I can't think of my expenses are several thousand a month.
One of the reasons I feel qualified to train others is because I have made a good portion of the dumb mistakes that can be made in this business and hopefully I can stop others from making the same mistakes. Right now if I had never done the whole Jiffy Lube stage I would be making very good money... but I did and we are like $200k in debt LOL
SO if anyone is thinking about hiring people and putting them into Jiffy lubes to get rock chips ... DON'T! The good thing about being in the Jiffy Lubes for me was the fact that I learned a portion of the Biz that almost no one else knows. I got some fantastic experiences training folks in multiple states of all temperments and personalities on how to do and sell a rock chip.

Jeepers Brian,
If ya can meet the 3 year rule on the taxes, it seems to me as if a Chapter 7 (or 11) would put you into the black:)

Re: What Are Your Monthly Expenses?
Nah, I'll pay it all back. I wouldn't want to lose 200k so I won't make anyone else lose it. Even though it was their fault it went south (long explanation) I am still going to pay them back ... just not in a hury
