Safelite

Post by enkogneto »

Hello again everybody. It says in the Safelite application that you need to include a picture of your company vehicle with your company logo clearly displayed. I don't have a company logo. I've been looking into getting some of those magnets that you put on the sides of vehicles, but I don't have any yet. Should I wait untill I get some to submit my application, or is it not very important? Can I just turn in a picture of my truck without a company logo? If anybody knows, I would appreciate it. Thanks again!

Unfortunately, Safelite is one network that will ask for the world but seldom offers much in return. I'd suggest getting vehicle photo w/company logo first before submitting or if you want to speed up the process while waiting to get graphics I have another suggestion. Using a digital camera, snap picture of your vehicle, load it into photo program and just add your own graphics onto image and then print. That's what I did and my application was ok'd.

I would make a picture on paper .. tape it on ... and stand far away and snap a photo.

StarQuest Isn't that the truth. They make you jump through rings of fire w/ little or nothing in return.

At the risk of sounding redundant

Would you guys stop complaining LOL. At least you have some sort of referal system. Here in Quebec we have nothing. The company that 60% of the insurance companies use for there call center also happens(what a coincidence) to own 3 chains of glass shops. Needless to say I am not about to get referals from them( I think you guys call it steerage) . The insurance companies turn a blind eye to this blatent conflict of interest, they get an annual return from the referal service(I call it a kick-back, they call it profit sharing). So if safelite gives you problems, remember that they also give you work.

Merci

Yeah i got one referral from Saflite in almost 2 years, big deal!! The saflite guy got first dibbs but declined it due to distance. (I lived in the toolies then)
Go to decalzone for a cheap solution enkogneto, like 40.00 for vinyl lettering. Scott:~)
My best mentor one said " be fair with your priceing but never too low, be honest with your customer/competition, when the day is done be sure you have done "good works", and always leave something of value on the barganing table!!

While my friend and trainer/ mentor Ray has moved on, his words live.

I feel really stupid even asking this question, but here goes anyway. So the contract with Safelite is just for the referral system? Does this mean I can still charge the insurance companies Safelite handles without having a contract with them? So if I'm right, all 4 of the application packets(Lynx, Allstate, State Farm, and Safelite) are just for referrals? Does this mean you can charge any insurance company without having any contracts? And thanks for the feedback, it all helps.

You don't have to be a network member to bill any insurance company, although it does make the transaction a lot simpler. I submitted a application for Safelite last March and was denied because I was a new business. Spoke to the regional manager myself and was informed that his belief was that I would not be in business long. One year later and I'm still here!
