I have never worked under a tent before but was needing some help one what i should do about this scenario. My uncle has a business on the side of a very busy road that he said that i could come and set up anytime that i wanted. Im not sure if i just want to sit there all day because i get alot of calls and go door to door alot. Do any of you recommend just putting up a big sign saying "FREE WINDSHIELD REPAIR" Or just setting up a tent without being there all of the time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I was also thinking about getting some cheap signs made up that stick in the ground and putting them at busy parts of the city, has anyone had any luck with this?

If he'll let you put a sign under his with your business name and phone #. Leave literature there for people who stop by, and put up a tent there when you have time. During rush hour in the morning or evening would be a good time to be there.
Re: Need Help
Would it be worth it to put up a tent with a sign even if i wasnt there just to draw more attention?

Re: Need Help
You didn't mention if your Uncle's business was open on weekends or if it draws a lot of traffic. I do cold calling during the week when people are at work (Coitstering) and set up a tent Friday afternoon and all day Saturday on a heavily traveled road. It works for me - but then again I'm working all the time :eusa_thin
My tent draws people for repairs (or just questions). I wouldn't set up a tent unless I'm there to work it.
