Windshield Repair Training & Certification
With the licensing issues coming around, states mulling the idea of requiring certification in order to do windshield repair, as well as State Farm's new stance on deductibles, it has become increasingly important for technicians to attend training classes and become certified windshield repair technicians.
Attending a factory training & certification course will ensure that the quality of your repairs is as high as possible, and really just allows you to focus on other aspects of your business, and not worry about whether you're doing good repairs or not.
It is up to us as manufacturers to make sure that everyone who is interested in doing the highest quality repairs can attend training, even if they have purchased a system from a competitor, or have never purchased a system at all. We have an obligation to this industry to do everything in our power to make sure that training is available, and keep the quality of repairs being done as high as possible.
Effective immediately, Delta Kits, Inc. is waiving the $300 fee to attend the comprehensive technical training & certification program in Eugene Oregon.
Delta Kits' training & certification courses accommodate varying initial skill levels. Each student will be given practice windshields and full equipment to use during the class, where you will have extensive hands on training by fully qualified instructors on how to repair all types of windshield damage. The only thing you need to bring is a willingness to learn, and a dedication to doing the best repairs possible.
Upon successful completion of the hands on portion of this class, each student will be required to pass a rigorous written exam before receiving certification as a Delta Kits Certified Technician.
Obviously, any class held outside Eugene will still have a cost, since we have quite a bit of cost that is incurred by holding them, but all Eugene classes are now free.

Re: Windshield Repair Training & Certification
Hey Jeff,
Is the certification test offered in May for FREE in Oregon the same written test and the same Certificate of Achievement plaque identical to the ones already given to us that have already paid and attended the class, or are you offering something different saying we are certified instead of the plaque saying "Certificate of Acheivement"?
Thanks,
Sally

Sally,
Written test is different, and to be honest, I don't know about the exact wording on the certificate. It's been updated a few times, just not sure which one you have.
