Thanks guys, I told those folks we were unable to be of service on this one. Unless they have it removed and we can have the glaiser put them on a sawhorse for repair, and that there were no guarantees that we can save them. I usually enjoy a challenge, this one isn't for me!!

My best mentor one said " be fair with your priceing but never too low, be honest with your customer/competition, when the day is done be sure you have done "good works", and always leave something of value on the barganing table!!

While my friend and trainer/ mentor Ray has moved on, his words live.

That decision is best left to the consumer. Once all the pros and cons are weighed, if the consumer was still wanting us to repair who are we to refuse. I have done some polishing jobs on windshields that cost the consumer much more than a replacement, but to them conserving the original glass was priceless. In the case of the above homeowner this is certainly no the case, but once again the consumer is the decision maker. If everything was based on what the companies of this world wanted and not what the consumer wants, we would have missed out on such things as bell bottom pants, platform shoes, polyester liesure suits,AMC Pacers, and pet rocks(so mabey consumers are not the best at chosing trends).
