Guys this is going so good Im scared!

Post by BmwJunkie »

What I mean is, this is my second day doing WSR and I did five jobs today. It was pretty easy for me. I Got four of the jobs right in the same office. And the fith job at the next complex 30 feet away. I only worked three hours today. It can't be this easy? I only got 2 no's. So I hope this keeps up. I promise this is the last time I will post about my progress. Im just soooo excited. I guess I just have to be prepared for the slow days. I think I just answered my question that I was going to ask. Thanks for listening guys.

Thanks, Scott P

No need to be scared, just do-it. A no is only an invitation to seek work elsewhere. Keep up the good work, next day out try 4-5 hours instead of only 3.

If you get too many jobs, raise your prices.

Sometimes it seems to be either feast or famine, just wait until the holidays.
Always carry tools and never turn down a job no matter how buys you might be! Way to go!

Nothing wrong with a few good day's in a row!! :) Remember this is the hot time of the year, little rain and good times ahead for a few mos. It won't allways be like this!! So strike while the iron is hot. Why don't you set an amt of hours you'll do in a day instead of a $ amt that way when the bad days come and believe me there will be lean times, you'll be prepared financially. I try to hit september with at least a nice cushion to tide over the winter when the work becomes a little more spotty.
Glad to hear your doing well. Scott M.
My best mentor one said " be fair with your priceing but never too low, be honest with your customer/competition, when the day is done be sure you have done "good works", and always leave something of value on the barganing table!!

While my friend and trainer/ mentor Ray has moved on, his words live.

How are you finding your customers? You go into businesses and ask emloyees if they have rockchips?

It really is that easy if you arnt afraid to sell. Some guys ride around in the truck all day afraid to aproach people im not one of those. You will find that often you will get several hits at the same spot its easier to sell someone if thier friend is doing it already its an instant referal. Last week I pulled in to a small internet company 13 cars in the lot 5 with chips did all 5 before I left and was called back the next day to do 2 for people who went there the first day. It simple the common reasons for them having chips are either they dont know insurance covers it (about 30%) havnt gotten around to it (about 50%) or didnt know it could be fixed (20%) with the right attitude and a good close technique 80% is a real number for a closing ratio. I actully did an insurance job for a replacement guys wife the other day aproached her at the beauty salon the guy had known she had them for weeks brings his truck home but kept putting it off. she said F%*&# him go ahead and fix it now 3 chips $75 first $15 2&3 Yup F%&*+#@ him ;+)

GlazzStarz,

Not to poke fun with this one.....but I'm sure the glass replacement husband could have replaced his wifes shield for $60 or less. Are you sure you didn't stir something up bigger with this repair?
