Liquid Resins Umbrella Question

Post by CGlenn »

Has anyone ever used the umbrella sold by LR? The reason I ask is that I have thought about trying it out before but couldn't justify the price. They put it on sale (only $20 off) and I was considering trying it out again, mostly since it has been friggin hot here!

I use a cheap market/patio umbrella and stand, sets up in 30 seconds and keeps the fire off your back. If you have a reciever hitch weld a piece of 1" steel pipe to it and drop in your umbrella.

that would mean you need your truck backed up to the repair when the LR attaches to the car Personaly I use neither but in heat country the LR umbrella would make sence. I know several guys who carry a instant up canopy like the tent guys use and set it up over the car seems to me it would work better and look more professonal and at $79 be cheaper than the umbrella and keep moister off as well

I pull the cars up to the back of my van, have a pop up tent but the umbrella is much easier to setup for me. I paid 16.99 for the umbrella at Sams club and 19.99 for the reciever ball mount. I know how to weld so the mod was insignificent, this works without a hitch for me so to speak. Just trying to give people some options, I dont like to act like an expert.

I have an umbrella setup similar to the LR one. Works nice when I'm doing a single repair somewhere, too bulky to carry around on rental lots and such. Really catches people's attention when you are working a retail job in an office park or a parking lot. More people come over to see what's up with the cool umbrella than will come over when you are just doing a repair.

the LRI umbrella has a dual purpose...sure it blocks god-awful hot sun, but it also advertises. I know a guy who bought one and went out by a highway rest-stop, put it on top of his car and was doing repairs where people could see him...he had virtualy non-stop action the whole day. he had to take it down just to get enough of a break to eat lunch.

Go to Bass Pro's web site and purchase the Auto-mo-brella for $79.00, it comes with a 9' market umbrella and it is very easy to set up and use. It also telescopes, tilts and works GREAT. All you need it a receiver hitch. 2" or you can buy an adapter if you have the 1 1/4 hitch. Check it out. I found it on the http://www.automobrella.com website and you can click on the Bass Pro logo to order from there.
