Hello, I use the GM equip.
First question was needing help with being able to pull a vac on the chip. You have to make sure your have your o-rings installed properly. You need 2 o-rings on the injector piston. Make sure the o-rings are in good shape as they do wear out and need replacing often. The injector itself needs to be properly placed over the chip and lowered until the base seal just touches the glass and then lower the injector 2 to 3 quarter turns more setting the injector up with just the right amount of pressure.

2nd question: How much resin to use?. In my opinion I like to use 7-10 drops per repair. I normally load to much in the injector just to make sure I have more than needed. Better to have more than needed than not enough.

Good luck to you.

I use GM. One of the most important steps I've learned when pulling a vacuum is to make sure injector base is level with the windshield. Do this by looking at it's reflection in the glass, both front and side. The injector has to be perpendicular with it's reflection. Hope this helps.
