ACT Question
ACT Question
I have a quick ACT question. I have been thinking about signing up with ACT as soon as I finish my training next week. My question is does ACT tell you how much the insurance will pay on a chip or do you have to tell ACT what you are charging for a chip.

Re: ACT Question
Charges are set by the insurance companies and you agree to them or not when you phone in a claim, they will tell you what the pay for repairs. If you are going to use act get your call in to them a few days in advance of doing business so you can be on the books when you get out there.
Training is good but not a replacement for practice. Read the forum there are a lot of tricks that won't be covered in a regular training. Get a practice piece of glass and push the envelope on all aspects on that. This will help you get to know limits. Heat, cold, Wet, AIR!! Filled or not, ETC..... Scott

My best mentor one said " be fair with your priceing but never too low, be honest with your customer/competition, when the day is done be sure you have done "good works", and always leave something of value on the barganing table!!
While my friend and trainer/ mentor Ray has moved on, his words live.

Re: ACT Question
Just call in the claim they bill the ins company the going rate each has thier own max and thats what Act bills. have never had a complaint with them been over 4 yrs and hundreds of claims. The send you an email with each claims details and another when its paid. I hate paperwork and working with them i do little they send a 1099 at the end of the year its the easist company I have evr had to deal with lets face it insurance companies are a pain in the yakahoolla and they do all the work and follow up and dont charge much for it
Re: ACT Question
ok, spent ten min on the phone this morning with them and thay said it was a problem with outlook and when thay close down thier pc,s at night it could loose the email in the system. i joined act thru liquid resins and have had more then just recent problems. so wish i was as lucky with that program as you have been, and i not saying thier all that bad but , im crossing over to delta. maybe a little paper work but at least i know the claim is being processed...
