Insurance Claim Canceled

Post by dingmedic »

Has anyone had this happen?? We had a LYNX insurance claim where we were contacted by LYNX for a customer passing through our area. We completed the job on a star with a small water spot appearance remaining, good solid repair. Customer signed invoice stating that they were satisfied with our repair. In fact the customer was so happy that we came out to his motel after 5pm he gave us a $10 tip. Late the next day we received another fax from LYNX canceling the dispatch. They stated the customer had the w/s replaced.........end of story.

You did the work and he signed off on it. Ask Lynx to fax you the receipt with customers signature proving that he had the windshield replaced after you did the repair. It would be pretty easy for any insurance company to simply say "dispatch cancelled" and screw you out of payment.

I doubt they would have such a record, but your request may at least cause them to double-check their paperwork trail. Who knows, people and computers are full of all kinds of mistakes. Maybe somebody just screwed up and cancelled the wrong dispatch number. A simple typo on Lynx's part could be a problem.

Hope you get your money.

GlassStarz is right on the money with that one. A statement like that usually will galvanize somone to action in hurry.

The only experience I have with something like what GlassStarz is saying is several years ago my wifes grandparents were financially taken avantage of by a lawn care and hauling service. Bottom line was they way overpaid for the work, and the work was never completed.

I called up the company that did the work and told them that if they did not come back and finish the job - they will be hearing from the attorney general's office.

The were over within 15 minutes and finished the job.
