Re: Flyers
I too use the ones from LR
Re: Flyers
I tried them a few years back can't say it's worth the money spent and the time passing them out IMO. I think one on one contact, hustling up business working the streets talking to customers everyday is much much better.

Re: Flyers
just posting the info they ask for.
Re: Flyers
Your right Brian... but handing them out to with a few business cards as well as one on one contact is good too... many companies post them in the company coffee room for others to see... posting flyers in homes doesnt always work either and ppl can get really uptight about posting on their car... had someone who claimed I chipped their car purposely when I posted on it ... so I said ok lets go to the police so they can check it out for the age of the chip where it was from etc... as I dont go around chipping 200 cars in a parking lot!... they backed down pretty fast! Fool.

Re: Flyers
I think each market is a tad different; the cash market here sucks so I go for fleet and dealer work and as much insurance work as I can get.
I pass out all kinds of stuff, chip savers, buy lunches, etc. I try to always walk in the door with my name on something just not flyers. I pass out thousands of cards I give them out in stacks, Come up with a cheap little give away handing out a dollars worth of goodies is usually worth the rewards sometimes you have to spend $10.00 to get that first $50.00 but now the door is open. Look what Delta does the only reason I buy from them is because of the candy LOL Hey whatever works...
PS: GO KURT BUSCH!!!!

Re: Flyers
I was reading some of the archive posts... some ppl give out coupon lunches or something to that effect... dunno -- does that come across like a desperado for a buck or something?? I am thinking of doing Crazy Tuesdays like PopEyes where every chip nomatter HOW big is $35. Refer a friend scheme and you get both done for a reduced rate.. during the hot summer days just get a 24 pack of Aquafina and while your repairing the car/van whatever ..throw them a drink/water..it may not seem like much but they will think -- yeah, I went to this place they were nice people, great job gave me a drink etc. Little things do matter.

I think there is a difference in thinking here, what I’m saying is when I go out and work the streets what I’m looking for are people that can refer me work or that are in charge of a fleet etc. Their windshield repaired is usually a favor or demo. I want the repairs on the hundreds of cars they see if that makes any since. That’s why something with your name on it, given to them will remind them who to call when your services are needed. After all isn’t referrals the best form of advertising available?Windshield Guy wrote:some ppl give out coupon lunches or something to that effect... dunno -- does that come across like a desperado for a buck or something??
Like I said the cash market here is %#*&#@ terrible I don’t even try to find cash work unless it comes to me…
