Anybody using crackweld resin regularly?

Post by scratchy »

I fix quite a few long cracks with good results using Delta magnibond and GT CR. I noticed Glasweld has a crack specific resin and wonder how well it flows and more importantly how well is it holding up? It sure is expensive. Thoughts?

That resin flows ok. At times I wish it were thinner as when the crack is tight it is slow going. It fills and hides well. Never had one fail. I have used some thinner crack resins that flow quicker but do not hide as well. They have 2 different viscosities now.

I have used thinner resins, but this one really makes it easier and it holds up well. It may flow slower, but you dont get any air getting back into the crack as you go. It saves time in the long run. My opinion however is limited because I only use glas-weld products.

Hi, I have been with Glas.Weld for a number of years.
We have adviced them to launch a 'crack' resin, it is however, not a different resin.
This resin is only a different label on the bottle. You should not believe them.
The resin is okay, but not a special formulated product.
You just pay extra for a regular resin.
