resin left in injector to leave or not to leave?

I have notices as i do a repair some times i have resin left inside the injector. can i leave the resin in the injector or should i clean it asap? with out uv's i would think it would stay in a liquid form, but i am green as grass in this business, thanks jim:eusa_thin

Injectors left with resin? Do not do it. All repairs should start with fresh resin especialy for non fleet or personal vehicles. You injector could be at risk also but the main problem is the resin being left in an uncontroled environment (open air). A few drops in each repair done is not a great sacrifice, clean after each repair so as to not contaminate the next repair.

Denatured Alcohol...

You can find it in the "paint thinner" aisles @ Home Depot, Lowe's, Etc.

alcohol ,i have been just using the rubbing medical type, i see that i should use the denatured type, will pick some up and put it to use, some one told me the other day that there cant be much to repairing glass or windsheilds, well as i go along i find that with most things we learn there is practice, getting better everyday. but much more to learn then meets the eye. easy well maybe with practice, thanks for the input. jim

OK I’m a sinner I only clean my bridges once a week or so, OK! so I might go two weeks… If you do a lot of repairs like I do say 20 or 30 a day (is that a lot?) I always take my bridge wrap it in a towel, then on to the next. Been working for years now is it right IDUNO? But it works, I always seperate the two they both have a place in my bag never together....

I never clean my bridges I don't get resin on them, I do clean my injectors at the end of the day.

I'm with you. somtimes I clean them once a month and have had no problem with repairs getting contaminated. I dont think you have to clean them after every repair. that sounds very time consuming!

I clean once a day, but allways worry about what winds up in my injector. Crushed glass, powdered glass from drilling, dirt, moisture and whatever else finds it's way into a break.
