Metryx
I was talking with the folks at ACT this afternoon and found that as a member of the program they are currently involved signing up all their members in the Metryx system. I am personally against the whole thing as they claim that they will be evaluating us providers and rateing our performance etc...
I am curious as to how they intend to accomplish that and my thought is this is just another ploy to attempt to regulate the industry with out having any real clue as to the individual performance. They appear to be proceeding with a half baked process of tracking and more to the point the system is slanted as it is being implimented by folks who have another interest and or agenda and therefor cannot be objective. I am curious how the folks here who direct bill feel about the Metryx set up? Thanks in advance for the input, Scott

My best mentor one said " be fair with your priceing but never too low, be honest with your customer/competition, when the day is done be sure you have done "good works", and always leave something of value on the barganing table!!
While my friend and trainer/ mentor Ray has moved on, his words live.

Re: Metryx
Sorta reminds me of all the fuss about "steering". I submit that this system is nothing more than an attempt to control the system by yet another innovative methodology.
Re: Metryx
If you guys/gals are concerned about METRYX, and I would be, check the AGRR message forum, there are many informative posts on this topic that will shed much light on it.

Glasssgod,
Instead of basically saying "well, this forum doesn't have info on Metryx, go here instead," let's discuss Metryx, and then this forum will have information on Metryx!

Re: Metryx
I've been after the insurance companies for years to call their insureds to find out the quality of the repair work they received. If Lynx wants to take it upon themselves to finally do some asking, then good!

I for one am not joining as we get maybe 1 job every 6 months. Not worth the trouble as our business is focused elsewhere.

Re: Metryx
If I don't sign up for Metryx, will my account and the way I am paid through ACT change? I have received 3 work orders from Lynx in the last 2 weeks. Will that go away? I know 3 is not alot, but I do this part time and don't want to lose any business if I can help it.
