Excellent Lead (Wanted to share with group)

Post by Wright Fix »

I just wanted to let everyone know that I found a really good lead. A friend of mine introduced me to a gentleman who has a very successful mobile lube shop (four full time crews) in the area. He was willing to let me ride with him for several days and introduced me to the managers of his fleets. This has placed me in prime position to recieve all the public schools, public service companies (electric and gas), and all the state vehicles, as well as some smaller fleets in my area.

We are also planning on doing some advertising together. He stated that he was willing to help me because of my professional appearance, promise to do quality repairs for his customers, and the personal reference from a friend. Actually, the personal refrence landing the relationship, but the rest sounds better.

The only requirment he has stipulated is that I promise to take the fleets boys out for lunch once a month and take really good care of the girls in all the offices.

I also want to share an idea that I will be discussing with one of the local coffee/book shops in town (my friends own it). I am going to send out some mailings and do windshield repairs in front of the coffee shop. Here is the pitch. I will do the windshield for my regular price and then offer free coffee and pastries from the bookstore for up to three occupents. My price - $10 for three coffees, pastries equals cash for me and good advertising for them while getting my name out.

Let me know your thoughts,

I am finding this forum to be very helpful and will be sharring my success and failures.

blessings,
Heath

A personal referance is worth it's weight in gold(If the person is less than 300 lbs let's say). Once you have that lead in it's up to you to maintain it.

Free Coffee and Doughnuts. Your local taxes are going to go up. Every Cop in your area will be poping their windshields to cash in on that one!

Thats an EXCELLENT idea! $45+ in your pocket minus a few bucks for a doughnut and coffee for the customer is nothing!! Grrrrrrrrrrreat idea!
