You are welcome to borrow pics from my site if you wish. I believe(but am not 100% sure so check it out localy before going ahead) that once something is published on the web it becomes public domain, with the exception of copyrighted(must be identified as so) and trade-marked items. Good luck, and if you find a pic that you like on another site, you can always e-mail the site administrator and ask to use the pic.

Merci

Definitely not true in the US. Pictures you have taken have an implied copyright and are NOT public domain. Most of the time though if you ask, people will be happy to let you use their photos as long as you credit the source.

Yup, I second Jeff's comment!

Ensure that you have some sort of written statement/documentation authorizing you to use the images/text from the site owner.

As well, while my digicam is rated at 5+megapixels, if your cam is 1+MP, you should be able to extract a decent/web presentable image if your imaging software is adequate.

I have some pretty powerful graphics software packages and could easily crop/enhance any image(s) you may have and render them in a high-quality web format for you.

Ditto.

If someone doesn't want their pics used, they will usually watermark them or block them from being copied off their website.
