1-2 Credit card jobs a month.

Post by J.T.Window »

I'm looking for a way to take about 20 credit card payments a year. I'm getting some commercial accounts who insist on using cards.
Thanks.

The ONLY name you need to know. http://www.chargeamerica.com

When the local credit card company processing guys call me and try to get me signed up with them I tell them what I am paying for this service and they can't believe it. It works like a snap right over my cell phone.

Have you checked with your local bank? I set up my merchant account with the Texas Independent Bank through my local bank. The plan is similar to chargeamerica that Scratchy mentions but there was no set-up fee. Monthly fee of $6.00; $0.50 phone authorization fee/transaction; and 3.5% fee. For a $40.00 retail job my transaction fee is $1.90. Check for a California Independent Banker Bank.

Free supplies, too.

I've asked my bank about cards a couple of times - they hand me brochures from the regular companies. Now I'll check with the other banks in the area.
Thanks

Let your bank know you would like to set up a merchant services acct. I set mine up through my bank(Compass) and the rates are great.
