what's up everyone... let me preface this by saying at the moment i work for a national company. i do a fairly large number of repairs (probably because i offer it to customers even if they have ordered a replacement) .that being said anytime i do a repair i give my customers a lifetime warranty, the company wont give cash back but they will deduct it from a replacement cost (would you expect any less?). but i will say ive never had a repair comeback and the company ,or maybe the branch i work for, is good about doing repairs the best they can be, and they will truly give the customer the discount without jacking the price of the windshield.

I would expect more. Offer them the opportunity to get their cash back and have their windshield replaced elsewhere. This removes any doubt as to your sincerity about repairing the windshield. Maybe 10% would go elsewhere, if the customers have been treated well. I'm sure a majority of customers forced to use you after a failed repair won't come back.

mafsu you are EXACTLY right. unfortunately I work for a national chain and can only go by company policy. I am trying to remedy this. I figure in about a month my company will be up and running and I can offer a full money back lifetime warranty as every customer deserves.

I can't tell you how many times ive heard the words "that's good enough" at this place. Not to mention today i had a DW1218 ford taurus in the shop. one of our installers did the job and it leaked. No wonder since the windshield sat 1/4 inch higher then the roof. I told the manager to let me pull it and replace it ... his response "we don't have time just back fill it and let's go" my response " you back fill it and tell me how it turns out". customer safety means nothing to some people.

I'm sorry im complaining but no one else seems to care about quality.

Thanks all for your responses. Unfortunately, I am in the Atlanta GA area. I have learned a valuable lesson here. I have tried to contact the Company, and I can not get anyone to even return my call. I made a trip to the shop to try and speak with manager, was told me was not in and that the $59 charge for repair would not be refunded unless I purchased the windshield from them. That's their warranty. Called customer service, again was told manager would call, have not heard from them. Without a doubt, my windshield will not be purchased from them. I have a 2005 Toyota Avalon and believe me I will do my homework before it is replaced.

This bad experience will not deter me from having my windshiled repaired in the future, if necessary. I have spoken with many, and based on the feedback on this forum, this could have been avoided. Windshield repairs do work, if they are done properly.

Thanks all.
