Canadians, unite !
Re: Canadians, unite !
This sounds pretty cool.I would suspect that if I can master long crack repair ..complete with being able to read each potential repair accordingly ..I should defintly garner some respect in the marketplace and be able to carve out my little piece of the windshield repair pie..Yum Yum.

Re: Canadians, unite !
Much like our weather today,we started at 12+c with lightning and rain, wind picked up to 100kph and temp dropped to -15c with blowing snow, and all between 8am and noon. We had road closures galore, and semis on there sides in the ditch(and on other cars) pushed by the wind, and to top it all off a train was derailed by the wind on a bridge over the ST Lauwrence seaway (slow moving cargo train, stayed on bridge luckely). Needless to say driving was an adventure today. Toab you should have mail soon, a few more promotional items you can insprire yourself from to create your own.

Thanks Yvan..It's successful repair veterans like yourself that give the newbies like me the desire and motivation to pursue the dream of successfully starting and running my own bussiness to satisfy customers and provide a cost effective alternative for them as well as giving myself job satisfaction that I do not get putting the same square peg in the same square hole working at the factory. It's what I miss about working at the body shop but not the brain killing paint fumes.
Re: Canadians, unite !
Yvan where do you get your small pieces of glass that you use for your tests? are they auto safety glass cut up or something else?
Thanks Tim
Thanks Tim

I purchace a sheet of laminated glass the same thickness as windshield glass, and cut the pieces that I need. If you dont have thae space for a full sheet(or the need) you can go to any glass shop(not required to be automotive) and have pieces cut to the sizes you need. Please shop around as prices vary increadably, and you can also pick up pre-broken pieces for next to nothing.

Thanks for the compliment, but I don't consider myself a veretan(and the day that I do is the day I will stop doing it). There is always room to advance and learn, and just because you have been doing something for a while it doesn't automaticly make you any better than the new guy, attitude, professionalism, and customer satisfaction are all very important, the actual repair process is easy to learn with some patience and practice. That said if I can help it is my pleasure to do so.
