I live in a state where car dealerships are closed on Sundays. I was thinking that this would be a good time to walk the lots and find damage but when I brought this idea up to a friend they thought that it was a bad idea because the dealer could turn around and say that I was out creating work.
Now I'm a trusting person so this really never came to mind. Is this or could this be a potential problem?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Dealerships
Hi Robin Hood,
Well, what can I say? We work on Sundays.
In fact; to us -in fleets- it is one of the two prime working days.
Some customers will not allow us to work on Sunday -which we respect and fully understand, bust at most locations we are welcome.
Unfortunately, it happens in our industry, that some idiots indeed do create their own work. It certainly is a relevant point. But then; some do push a simple break just to crack it so they can replace, and that happens everyday, not only Sundays, right in front of the customer.
If you do not want garages to think that you create work yourself then you better stay away at their locations that day.
There is still enough work to do out there on Sunday.

Re: Dealerships
you could check out the lot on Lets say Friday or Sat. and ask if you could do them on Sunday, that way it is quit and you have all the time in the world to do them.... Just do not do any others.
This works for me.

Re: Dealerships
too remember, most car lots have cameras everywhere so it may indeed look like your "causing" the work. But I would at least go in & talk to a GM & ask them about this. You might be surprised. Whats the worst they can say, no?
