I would suggest you talk to your local banker. He/She should be able to direct you to someone who can provide information - someone who can be trusted. There are many vendors out there looking for your money. Beware!

Personally, if I didn't want to pay with insurance, I would ask if they accepted credit (really debit, just because I don't carry cash). Your credit union or bank is probably a pretty cheap route, and certainly worth a look.

I was strictly doing mobile repairs until early February. I was able to aquire a fixed location in a busy part of town and decided at that time to set up a merchant account to accept both credit and debit cards. I would guess that 30% of my customers pay with either credit or debit. I would highly recommend accepting credit cards as a method of payment. Having the Visa/Mastercard logo in the window of my business has brought in customers that would have otherwise decided not to have thier windshield repaired.

Thank-you for all the feedback--At the moment I am with Soverign merchant/services company using the old way ie dialing a 1-800 # putting my account # and credit card# using the key pads of the phone, and then using the key pads again and putting the amount & exp date for all transactions .I am just looking for a cheaper route.--You get a credit cards payment in your Bank account in 48 hours ????
