Well,
We have our Business name, and all the papers filed. We have been doing some practice on an old w/s, and several cars for friends and coworkers. Started giving out business cards last week.
Today I did a free repair for a large local oil company. I sure hope that one gets some jobs, cause I think they would be good for 4 or 5 jobs a month.
Have had several neighbors come to the door wanting repairs, I just can't believe the response we are getting from what little we have done so far.
Quality wise our repairs have turned out ok, seems like all we have done are older breaks, and they seem to have a lot of dirt and contamination. Any tips for removal of that? The fresh breaks have repaired very well and easily.
We will start a little advertising next week, and if it goes the way things have gone so far, we gonna be busy.
Good Start, I think

Awesome!
I've been doing about the same! Been doing this for 4 months or so. Doing between 4-8 jobs a week it seems. Friends, family, insurance referrals. I'm waiting on the fleets until my abilities get a little better. I thought I had it licked but had one spread on me three days after I fixed it and thought it wise to hit the practice glass and get some more jobs under my belt. I'm really in for the long haul with this business. I don't want to trade the quick buck in for the long term. It's very easy to make a bad name for yourself. It could take awhile to make a good name for yourself. A few poor repairs and I'm afraid word will spread fast.
