'06 Tahoes

These are very crack prone. It is almost like the glass is trying to shift on the laminate after getting hit with the stone. On the edge, down in the black area, you can see some significant separation developing.
It looks like the '06 Tahoe is now trying to take the award for worst OE windshield away from the Nissan Titan/Armada!

I have repaired 2 of these, both have had original glass from Mexico.. Crinamex-Heads Up here most Crinamex is brittle that I have seen. I always thought Crinamex was a cheaper piece of glass which dealers loved due to being a lot cheaper. What is the GENERAL thinking here?

I think you hit the nail on the head. Chevy must be using a cheaper W/S to cut cost. Good news for the replacement guys.

The 07 Tahoes come from GM with CRINAMEX glass from the general.
