Tent location on corner

Post by tooldini »

Hello,, I talked to two ma and pa business owners yesterday and got one absolute NO and one guy didn't want me to because he didn't know what kind of work I do, if it was crappy or good. Of course I told him I was good and have been doing this for a few years. He still said he did know me and couldn't have someone out there that was doing bad work. Do you think I should go back with some vehicles I have repaired in the past to show him? I thought this may help, I have at least two cars i could bring right to his shop. This locations looks to be very good across from a gas station on a very busy road with a grocery store across the street also and several new subdivisions about 1 mile away. It would be on the far end of his corner lot. Do you think that would help to show some of my work since he did keep my card and did not say NO,, just that he didn't know me and didn't want someone doing crappy work on his lot.

thanks

I would offer to do a couple of repairs for free to some of his friends and then let him decide.

In that case I would set up a couple of repairs to do at his place and include him in the process and explain what you are doing and why.

Take some small samples of glass and perform a few repairs for them.

Thanks guys :) I am looking into a permit but I don't really know anything about them. I just know i need to ask at the City Clerks office in my county. I was wondering if I needed to have an address or location before I would get the permit or if the permits were good at any location.

You probably need an address or place for your permit.

How about offering a name/phone nbr of a dealer or fleet account contact that you have? Maybe the hesitant owner knows them and will accept their recommendation.
