Denatured alchohol

Props to denatured alchohol for cleaning my equipment and not ruining it. I placed my injector (both parts) in a container of the stuff about 3 MONTHS AGO!. I had put it in for cleaning for the first time and was using my other injector. A week or so later I get to a job and it has 2 stars, so I pull out my tool box and can only find one injector. To say the least, I'm pissed off! I lost an injector somewhere! I even called my last few jobs to see if they found it.

So, I angrily order another from Delta and have been using the new one and my remaining old one for a while now. Today, I decide to clean another injector and when I start to pull the container out, I REMEMBER!! What do I find inside, my lost injector. I pull it out, look at it. It's clean as can be. I check out the end seal, looks great. So I stick the other one in there that I want to clean and take my long lost injector on the job today. 1 Star in th middle of the windshield. I break out the shiny clean injector with the same seal still in it and use it. Excellent repair! All is good now except I have 2 bridges and 3 injectors now. I guess I can always be cleaning one :)

Good of a place as any to put this, we're always asked.

Denatured alcohol can typically be found at Home Depot/Lowe's next to paint thinner.
