im in camden county. how have things been working out for you? i purchased a crappy kit a few years ago on ebay and didnt do so well. i really never lost interest in this business but im now looking to get into it full force with proper equipment and training. any comments or advice?

thanks for all the info and advice!!! it is all much appreciated. i would love to talk to you about this business at some point. im just trying to reasearch and learn as much as possible now to prevent any further interruption when i get started. what type of kit do you use? any recommendations? good points, bad points? and i pose that question to others as well...any tips for getting started part time nights and weekends? how is the winter season for reapir work in this climate? any advice from anyone would be great!!!! and thanks again detailguy1954 for your advice as well.!!

Your Best Bet Is To Pay For Training Thruogh Delta If Possible Im Not Sure Of The Cost. Then Get An Old Windshield, Make Some Chips And Start Repairing. You Can Always Refer Back To The Forum For Questions You Come Across While Repairing. Practice Practice Practice

It's a great part-time or full-time business Chris. Like any business, it's got more to do with you than the tools. However, if you can afford to start out with professional gear you'll be better off in the long run. Start by being professional looking. Would you buy a service from someone who looks, talks, walks, and dresses like you? Smile. Smile. Smile. Be friendly but not overbearing. Know your stuff so you'll be confident (like mattglass says, practice, practice, practice correctly). Be able to pitch your service in the fewest possible words. Make sure you know the features and benefits and say them to the customer. Ask for the sale and be prepared to overcome the customer's objections. A good business is built on perserverence, presentation, and professionalism. People always quit the day before success happens. Good luck, Chris!
