Metal Injector issues???..heat or pressure...or is plastic best?

Hi all...I'm been doing w/s work for almost 3 years now. Lately many suppliers offer metal injectors in their items. I am wondering if using a metal injector is much different than a plastic one. Is there any chance the heat/cold from an injector would bake/freeze the resin? I imagine with heat/cold the w/s would be fine, since theres the rubber tip in between. Also, is the pressure in a metal injector much stronger, and thus easier to blow out a repair? Theres a nice metal injector I see for like 30 bucks and I wonder if its worth it. Any techie ideas?

I think it is more of a case of personal preferance when it comes to plastic or metal.I think that both have their advantages...Price,weight,longevity,etc.I have both types.

In my opinion, the only advantage a plastic injector has over a metal injector is if you accidently drop it on the windshield, it won't damage the glass.

One advantage a metal injector has over a plastic injector is that a metal injector will not wear out like a plastic one will, and it should last you for years and years.

So what kind of tools do you have in your garage? Craftsman or the cheap dollar-store tools?

I get my plastic injectors for $1.75. They last for about 5-6 months.
Somtimes (very rarily) you get more than you pay for.

Go with either metal or plastic, but stay away from aluminum, it does bad things to resin. A solution would be chrome plating, but not anodization, it wears off too fast then yhou are left with bare aluminum

If you get a good repair tool the anodizing never comes off. I have used mine for 8 months and it hasn't lost any color and has never failed.
