Average Repairs Per Week?

Post by ncglastech »

Just wondering how many winshield repairs you guys do in a given week. I will be repairing part-time and was wondering is 5-10 a week to much to look for? I am going to do some dealers and some insurance company's referrals. I will also being doing some scratch removal when needed? My area is not super small, but not big city neither.
Thanks

We do 5 to 10 an hour at times it just depends on you ncglastech. You can do how ever many you like provided the time and equipment.....

Oh and available damage, weather, etc....
My best mentor one said " be fair with your priceing but never too low, be honest with your customer/competition, when the day is done be sure you have done "good works", and always leave something of value on the barganing table!!

While my friend and trainer/ mentor Ray has moved on, his words live.

Full time I do an average of 50 per week. Most importantly is how many satisfied customers you have.

I work in the least densely populated county in the UK and I would take that amount as a daily number. The numbers are up to you know one else. I share one town 10,000 people with 5 other repair guys and 4 firms that replace and repair, I go there once a week and do 12 screens + dents.
33,000 + screen repairs over 18 years and still learning.

Bruno, you're doing 50 a week? 50x40.00(avg.)= $2,000.00 per week X 52 weeks a years = $104,000 a year. Quite impressive, almost hard to beleive.
Congratulations.

When I started a few months ago I was having a hard time because I was terrible at sales. Since then, I've learned more on what to say and what not to say and things have been picking up. This being a side job, I currently do an average of 8 repairs a week. $300-$400/week is pretty nice as a side income, but my goals are high!

Bruno and Screenman-
How long did it take you to get 50 repairs a week?

Like screenman the return on investment was fast, and it's not hard to do 10 a day(if you like finishing before noon). If your income level is below this you need to ask yourself some questions. By the way all my work is dealers and fleets, I don't do insurance, and only the odd retail customer.

Currently I am investigating purchacing a franchise(repare-brese). I spoke to 7 of his franchisee's (the ones who speek english) and all do 2-3G a week, they offer repair, polishing, headlight and paint chip repair. In Quebec alone they are over 30 techs and now they are branching out to the rest of Canada. I figure I might as well join them insread of fight them.
