Competing with the No Deductible-Free windshield replacement

Post by CrackFixKY »

How are you all competing with No Deductible-Free windshield replacement? Here in KY it is law that if you have a crack in your windshield you get it replaced for free and the deductible is waved.

I would be stressing the point that NO ONE can duplicate the ORIGINAL FACTORY SEAL on the glass no matter how good they are. The factory doesn't slap in a shield put tape along the edges and tell you to be on your way but don't roll up all the windows and slam a door for 24 hours.

I'd be careful using such a generalized statement! Glass replacement is still a comp. claim and some insurance companies allow 1-3 type claims before effecting the premiums. I'd advise the insured to verify this with their ins. company first.

It is definately going to be harder to make a sale here than in other states. Wish i had found this out before I purchased my kit :(

I do not do retail or insurance work and boy am I busy, there are loads of customers that don not have glass insurance. When some of us oldies started in this game all insurance companies waived any excess for glass this is not something new. If you are regretting getting into the business that quick then maybe you should not be self employed. This is aimed at the general paople out the not anyone in particular. This business is so easy it should not be a problem to earn extremely good money where ever you are.
If anyone cannot make it in this business then I suffest you should stay employed.

Wow I am going to get shouted at for this one, but part of my job is motivation and I tend to be honest about it and not pussy foot around.

Business success in whatever you do is hard work but WSR is a lot easier than most.

Best of luck everyone.

I never said that I was going to sell off the kit or anything, just going to have to change my tactics a little bit is all. But thanks for your honesty. I was more looking for how other that were in the same situation might have changed their marketing plan, if at all.
