I am successfully retired....Full time would be detreminental to my life style. I do not advertise--just strictly depend upon referrals. I have learned that the more money I make, the more taxes I pay. I love to play golf and only in exceptional cases will I let repairs interfere with my favorite past time. I try to play golf to the best of my ability---and I strive to repair windshields at the same level. Life is good!

vinyl-4ever wrote:I have been set-up through lynx since March and I average about 10 insurance jobs a week. 2 dealerships that I average about 8 a week for both of them. I probably do at least 2 cash jobs per week from my yellowpages.com add. I am looking to go full time. For now my part time job is technology work 32 hours a week. I am still looking for more work and trying to get the headlight restoration up and running.

After you was setup with Lynx in March how long after that did you start receiving jobs?

Boyd, Not all screen have 1 chip in the and going back between 1988 and about 2003 I was doing more like 40 screens per week. The trainee I had in today did about 25 today. If you would like to come and see me do repairs we are considering an open day at our retail premises in December.

One of Erics guys did 32 screens in 1 day. I do not go on repairs but amount of money earnt, best day so for

Also I do a lot of practise repairs and demonstrations. Today I spent 3 hours trying different dry out techniques. I have used and compared 4 different style bridges and 3 types of injectors I do not know how many repairs I did. This I do not so much for my own benefit anymore but for the guys I train.
I would suggest most of the guys making a full time career of screen repair in the UK would be turning over around
33,000 + screen repairs over 18 years and still learning.

I started receiving calls from lynx a couple of days after I got everything set-up. I received my first e-check about 3 weeks after that. Just make sure you get everything right when you start submitting invoices through e-direct glass. I had my first 3 invoices rejected because the vin # was not in caps. I had to call them and luckily I did not get charged to resubmit.

I would check that all your information is active on the metryx page at lynx. Like your coverage area, shop information, and make sure you apply for all of the glass programs.

I recently signed up with eDirect. I haven't received any calls from Lynx nor SGC. In fact, I seldom get calls from SGC.

Easy tiger !!,
Screenman, I wasn't "calling you out". I had a simple question on basic math.
I believe I recognized twice that you may take offense and tried to let you know it was not meant to be a threatening question. I don't plan on coming overseas anytime soon, but thanks for the offer. Keep up the good work.
It sounds like to me that your business at the very top of this industry.
I commend you.

Sincerely,
BOYD
