headlights with moisture
headlights with moisture
just wondering if anyone has come up with ways to dry out headlights that have moisture ....i sometimes use my dremell to drill a small hole on top and bottom and then turn on lights and use heat from h/l to dry out..looking for a better solution to problem...maybe using canned air to blow inside ..maybe with a solution of some kind to dry out and clean up moisture??? any ideas??

Re: headlights with moisture
Do you plan to fix the light so it won't get moisture in it again?
Re: headlights with moisture
Well, I suppose you could drill a hole in headlight fixture to help evaporate moisture but have to remember even if you do drill, evaporate moisture and plug there's still one big problem!
This headlight fixture seal has already failed and headlight either needs to be replaced or resealed. If not, it would most likely accumulate moisture again.
Not sure you would want to spend the additional time or effort on resealing so I'd suggest replacing with new or find used and repolish to customers satisfaction.

Yes, what I meant was to fix the original source of moisture, not the holes drilled. If you don't find and fix the lens, it might be wet again the next time it rains, etc....
I've seen it first hand, lol.
