Most of my work are fleet accounts and a rule-of-thumb that has served me well is to find out what their cost is for the various types of windshields on their trucks/vans so that I won't over-charge for something that could be replaced more cheaply. E.g., if a windshield only costs them $90 to replace (plus hidden labor costs), I will typically cap the cost of multiple repairs at $80-$85. They save money every time, and they keep calling me back.

I have been doing several chips per windshield on this fleet account. I'm sticking with a max of $75 per windshield. So far, this one account has been giving me consistent volume and are happy with the service and pricing I have.
