Best Ways Of Attracting Customers???

Just wanted opinions, advice, etc on best ways that you have used to attract customers (general public and trade)

I am about to setup and working on my marketing plan and therefore really need some info!!!

Join civic organizations like the Rotary, Lions, Chamber of Commerce etc. Its a club mentality, members support one another. It is a great way for word of mouth.

It depends on what type of buisness you are looking for
If you are calling on fleets primarily go out and make a cold call to each prospective customer. The same with car lots If you are looking for retail customers a phone book listing combined with advertising (newspaper etc.) should do the trick if you in a fixxed location nothing works better than a big ole sign out front
